school nurses

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. -- The Pulaski County Special School District Board of Education recently honored our many school nurses. Nurses diligently served our students throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I wouldn't have wanted to face this pandemic without this group of highly qualified individuals,” said Dr. Janice Warren, Assistant Superintendent for Equity and Pupil Services. “Nursing is more than a profession, It's a calling.”

Nurses are celebrated each May for their passion and skills. They selflessly dedicate their lives to improving the lives of others, and the past year has been no exception. The first National Nurses Week was observed in 1954 in honor of the 100th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s Mission to Crimea. It would take nearly 40 years for it to be recognized annually.

Thank you nurses!
