Welcome to BEAR County! My name is Britney Hickman, principal at Sylvan Hills Elementary. I’ve been in education for 15 years. I’ve obtained my BSE, MSE, Building Level Leader Certification, and EdS from Henderson State University. I believe that every scholar can learn and deserves an opportunity to be exposed to high quality instruction. Our big rocks will be focusing on AVID, PBIS, small group learning, and differentiated instruction. I take pride in continuously promoting student growth for all scholars and learning throughout the year. We have a dedicated and passionate staff that’s ready to serve your child this year. Mrs. Smith has been an educator for 18.5 years and worked in 3 school districts across central Arkansas. Prior to serving as assistant principal at Sylvan Hills Elementary, she served as Instructional Facilitator in the Conway Public School District. Before her time in Conway she served as a classroom teacher and Instructional Facilitator for PCSSD. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Master's (MSE) in Reading, and Educational Specialist Degree in Administration. She is a proud graduate of PCSSD schools. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
